TORWEAR began with our printing and embroidery business in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.

We started by selling custom-printed apparel and ready-made graphic T-shirts through Amazon and our own Shopify stores. Serving customers across these channels, we kept running into the same problem: the blank T-shirts we used did not meet our expectations. Some would begin to pill after just a few wears, wrinkle easily, and lose the look and feel we wanted our finished products to have.

A great print could only go so far. We needed a better T-shirt underneath it.

That experience took us back to Vietnam, where we opened our own garment workshop and began producing T-shirts ourselves. Our goal was straightforward: make better-quality shirts for our printing business while keeping the cost close to what we had been paying for ready-made blanks.

Being directly involved in production gave us more control over fabric selection, fit, stitching, and finishing. We could focus on improving the shirt itself while keeping it affordable.

From that practical need, TORWEAR was born.

The name combines “TOR,” inspired by Toronto, and “WEAR,” reflecting our focus on everyday clothing. It honours the place where we built our business and where the idea first took shape, while connecting our Canadian roots with our manufacturing journey in Vietnam.

Today, TORWEAR is a Canadian apparel brand based in the Greater Toronto Area. What began as a search for a better blank T-shirt has grown into a commitment to making comfortable, well-made everyday essentials at an accessible price.

We believe quality should begin with the shirt itself—whether you wear it plain or make it your own.
